Sign up for Cloudflare: https://www.cloudflare.com/a/sign-up 

Add your domain (e.g., yourwebsite.com):

Click Next

Select the free plan:

If you see an A Record for yourwebsite.com, write down your IP address in a safe place and delete the A Record.

Create two CNAME records:

You will be prompted to change your nameservers at your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy). Go to your domain registrar and change your nameservers to the two custom nameservers provided by Cloudflare.

Click on the Crypto tab at the top of the window.  Then go to "Always use HTTPS" and click the button to turn it on.

  • Change this to On

Click on the Page Rule tab at the top of the window. Then click "Create Page Rule."

Create a page rule to forward your domain. In the first input box, write yourwebsite.com/*. Then click "Add a Setting," select "Forwarding URL," and select "301 - Permanent Redirect."  In the final field write https://www.yourwebsite.com/$1 Click "Save and Deploy."

You should now have now added HTTPS/TLS/SSL to your website.

Note: It can take up to 60-90mins for your SSL certificate to be issued. This will result in a brief website downtime. However, if it has been more than 24 hours, feel free to reach out to B12!
