You can create a link that takes visitors directly to a specific section on any page of your website. This is useful for sharing on social media or in emails when you want to direct people to a particular part of your content.

A section link follows this format: https://www.yourdomain.com/page-name#section-name

Sharing a link to a section on your website

1. Find the URL of the page that contains the section you want to link to. Copy it or make a note of it.

Note: B12 page URLs are lowercase by default. If you've customized your URL, use the exact capitalization you set.

2. Identify the name of your section. Section names are based on the name visible in your page's section list. Apply these rules when writing your section name:

  • Use all lowercase letters
  • Replace spaces with a hyphen ( - )
  • If multiple sections share the same name, add -2, -3, and so on to each subsequent section

Note: For example, if two sections are both named "About our hotdogs," use #about-our-hotdogs for the first and #about-our-hotdogs-2 for the second. You can also rename a section to customize how it appears in the link.

3. Build your link by combining your page URL and section name.

Part Example

Domain + page URL

www.danshotdogstand.com/about-us

Add # + section name

www.danshotdogstand.com/about-us#about-our-hotdogs

4. Test your link by entering it into your browser's address bar. Confirm it takes you to the correct section before sharing it.
