Adding a snapshot to the history of your website
Learn how to save versions of your website before making updates by creating a snapshot
Written by: Madeline B. Last updated: 8th July 2025 |
If you're wanting to make edits to your B12 website but are worried about losing content, messing up your current structure, or in general wanting to be sure to preserve the current version of your site, you can use the snapshot tool in your B12 editor to save a snapshot of your current website.
1. Log in to your B12 editor
2. On the left-hand editing pane, select Website
> History
3. You'll then be taken to a list of previous versions of your website. To save a new snapshot, click the Snapshot
button in the upper right-hand corner of your editor
4. You can now begin editing your website; the current version will be stored in that snapshot
Need to restore your website to your saved snapshot? You can follow the steps in this article to restore your website to a previous version. If you run into any difficulties, don't hesitate to reach out to hello@b12.io for support.
