If you're wanting to make edits to your B12 website but are worried about losing content, messing up your current structure, or in general wanting to be sure to preserve the current version of your site, you can use the snapshot tool in your B12 editor to save a snapshot of your current website.

1. Log in to your B12 editor.

2. On the left-hand editing pane, select Website > History .

3. Above the list of previous versions of your website, click the Add Snapshot button in the upper right-hand corner to create a new restore point.

Note: If no changes have been made since the most recent snapshot, you will not be able to create a new snapshot until you make an additional change to the website. If your snapshot can't be added, make a small change to your website and try again!

4. Give your snpashot a unique descroption so you can identify it, then click Create. The date and time of creation will be included automatically.

Once your snapshot is saved, you can begin editing your website. If you run into any trouble, the snapshot you added can be restored any time.

Need to restore your website to your saved snapshot? You can follow the steps in this article to restore your website to a previous version.
