# Restoring your website to undo changes \[B12 2.0\]
## You can undo your changes by restoring your website to a past version

Edits you make in the B12 Editor are saved automatically. You can log out or close the editor without clicking save, and your changes will still be there when you return.
**Note:** Edits do not appear on your live website until you [publish](https://support.b12.io/en/articles/705658-previewing-and-publishing-your-website?hsLang=en).
If you make changes you no longer want, you can restore your website to a past version instead of fixing each change individually.
B12 automatically creates snapshots every 30 minutes you are actively editing. When you restore, your site will look exactly as it did at that saved time.
### Restoring a past version
1\. In the left sidebar menu, select `Website`\>** `History`**.
#### 
2\. Find the snapshot you want to restore. Each one is labeled with a date and time.
**Tip:** You can also [create a new snapshot](https://support.b12.io/en/adding-a-snapshot-to-the-history-of-your-website?hsLang=en) at any time.
#### 
3\. Click the **restore arrow** .svg) next to the version you want.
4\. Select `OK` to confirm.
Your B12 Editor tab will reload automatically, and your browser may show a "Changes may not be saved" alert. Continue to reload and view the restored version.
You can repeat this process with additional history snapshots, as needed.
