Email forwarding requires at least one Client Engagement seat. View B12 pricing plans here to learn more. |
When someone sends an email to your custom business address, B12’s email forwarding feature automatically delivers it to your personal inbox. This helps you present a professional email identity without needing to manage a separate email inbox.
What is email forwarding?
Email forwarding acts as a “mask” for your real email address. Instead of giving clients your personal email, you can share a professional business address on your custom domain.
Any message sent to this business email is instantly redirected to your personal inbox. This helps you:
-
Maintain a polished, branded presence
-
Keep all communication centralized
-
Avoid setting up or managing a separate email inbox
-
Ensure client messages never get missed
B12 supports creating multiple forwarding addresses on one domain.
Setting up email forwarding with B12
Setting up email forwarding on B12 involves three simple steps. Each step is explained in its own help article for clarity:
- Step 1: Configure a domain for email forwarding
Learn how to enable email forwarding and verify your domain. - Step 2: Set up custom email addresses
Create forwarding addresses and select the personal inbox to which they forward. - Step 3: Adjust your Gmail settings to display your custom email address
Update your Gmail "Send mail" as settings so replies show your custom email address instead of your personal one.
Already have an email service for your domain? You can set up a send-only email address if you would like to use a custom email address with email marketing or invoicing!
