When you launch a new website, some of your old page URLs may no longer work. This can lead to broken links, confusion for visitors, and missed leads. Redirects automatically send visitors from an old URL to a new one.
Before you start, make sure you know the old page URL you want to redirect and the destination URL you want visitors to open instead.
Adding page URL redirects
-
In the left sidebar menu, select
.Settings
-
Under Page redirects, click
Manage redirects. -
Click
Add redirect. -
In Redirect from, enter the old page URL path without your domain name. For example, to redirect https://www.danshotdogstand.com/products, enter products.
-
Under Link type, select External website URL.
-
In Links to, enter the full destination URL.
-
Click Publish to make the redirect live on your website.
Tip: If your old page URL includes a slash (/) in the middle or at the end, select external website URL as the link type and enter the full page URL in the destination field.
