Generating images with B12’s AI Assist

With B12’s AI Assist, you can generate custom images directly in the editor—no separate design tools or stock photo sites needed. Whether you're looking for a professional illustration or a unique photo to match your content, AI Assist can help you create on-brand visuals in seconds.

Follow the steps below to generate and add an image to your website using AI Assist.

1. Log into your B12 editor

2. In the left-hand editing panel, click Website > Pages

3. Select the page where you want to update or add an image

4. On the left-hand editing panel, scroll to and click on the section that contains the image you want to add or replace

5. Scroll down to the Image section in the left-hand panel

6. Select Replace

7. From the top menu bar, select Ai Assist

8. Enter your prompt and choose image type

In the prompt box, describe the kind of image you'd like (e.g., “modern office workspace” or “friendly dog in a park”), then choose whether you want a Photo or an Illustration and select your preferred Style (e.g., realistic, flat, hand-drawn).

9. Once your prompt and settings are ready, click Generate to create the image

10. Review the result—if you like the image, click Continue to use it

11. (Optional) If you’d like a different result, revise your prompt or style and repeat the steps above.

12. When your image is added and you're happy with your page, click Publish in the upper-left corner of the editor to make your changes live.
