Previewing lets you review your website before it goes live. It also allows you to share a private link with colleagues or friends to gather feedback.
Previewing your website
Preview generally loads faster than the published site, making it ideal for quickly checking updates.
- Click Preview in the top-right corner of the editor. This will open a staging version of your site in a new tab.
- Review your changes in the staging version.
- Switch back to the B12 Editor tab to continue making changes.
Your preview is private and not visible to the public. To share a staging version of your website:
- Copy the staging link from your browser's address bar.
- Send the link to colleagues or friends.
They can view your website exactly as you see it in staging, without publishing it live.
Publishing your website
Publishing takes longer to load than previewing. This is expected, as the live site runs through full production settings and domain routing.
- Click Publish in the top-right corner of the editor.
- Review the domains where your site is available. Every B12 site includes a domain ending in .b12sites.com.
Published websites are visible on the internet and can appear in search engine results.
For a professional look, upgrade your subscription to connect a custom domain such as www.mybusinessname.com. A custom domain strengthens your brand and makes your website easier to remember.

Note: If you're using a mobile device, tap the arrow on the left side to open the menu, then select Website. Once the editor loads, the buttons will appear in the upper-right corner.
