Changing your website's global metadata title and tagline

Your website title and tagline appear in browser tabs and search engine results, making them important for both branding and SEO. Updating this metadata in the B12 editor is a quick way to improve how your site appears to visitors and search engines.

Follow the steps below to update your site’s title and description.

1. Log in to your B12 editor

2. In the left-hand editing panel, select Website > Settings

3. From the left-hand editing panel, select Website metadata

4. Update your website title, description, and favicon

In this panel, you can:

  • Edit the Title (used in browser tabs and search results)

  • Write a short Description (often shown in search previews)

  • Upload a Favicon (the small icon that appears in browser tabs)

5. To ensure your edits are live, select Publish in the upper right-hand corner of your editor
