The B12 AI agent can read and use files you upload directly in the chat. You can share images, documents, code, and data files, then tell the agent what to do with them, such as adding a logo to your header or using the content of a document to populate a page.

The following file types are supported:

Category Formats
Images PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, WebP
Audio MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, AAC, M4A, WebM, Opus, MIDI, 3GPP
Video MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, 3GPP, MKV
Documents PDF (up to 20 pages), TXT
Data files CSV

Note: The maximum file size that you can upload is 75 MB.

Uploading with the AI Agent

  1. In the AI agent chat, click the paperclip icon attach file.
  2. Select the file from your computer.
  3. In the message field, type your instructions for what the agent should do with the file.
  4. Click Enter/ Return key or the up arrow up_arrow to send your instructions.

Tip: Be specific in your instructions. For example, "Use this logo in my website header" or "Use the text in this document to fill in my About page" gives the agent enough context to act accurately.

Uploading images in the left sidebar

You can also replace images directly on the canvas without using the AI agent chat.

  1. Click visual-edit Visual Edit in the AI agent chat.
  2. Click the image or video element you want to update.
  3. In the left sidebar panel, click Replace.
  4. Click Choose from library Upload media.
  5. Select the file from your computer. The new media previews in the selected section.
  6. Click Save to apply your changes.

  4. Click plans Upload custom font.
  5. Select the font file from your computer. The new font applies to your whole website and previews immediately.
  6. Click Save to apply your changes.

What the agent can do with your files

Images

When you upload an image, the agent receives a direct URL for that file and can reference it in your website's code. Upload brand assets, logos, or design references so the agent can see what you're working with.

Audio and video

When you upload an audio or video file, the agent generates a link for that file and can reference it in your website's code.

Documents

The agent can read the content of your document. For example, you can upload a services document and ask the agent to use its content to build a page on your site.

Note: PDFs are supported up to 20 pages. Longer documents may not be fully read by the agent.

Data files

The agent can read structured data in CSV format. You can upload a CSV and ask the agent to display the data on a page.

Tip: If you have a design mockup saved as a .psd or similar file, export a screenshot as a PNG or JPG and upload that instead. The agent can view and reference image versions of your designs.
