Changing Your Site's Colors

How can I change my site's color scheme?

Written by Jay Douglas

Selecting the right color for your site is an important part of setting the site's feel and tone. This guide details the steps to make changes to your site's color.

To start, navigate to your Dashboard, and then click on the "Style" tab in the left-hand editing pane.

In the new pane that appears, select the "Color" tab.

A new pane will appear once more containing a list of suggested color swatches, sorted into "Primary," "Pastel," and "Neutral" schemes. To see additional suggested swatches for any fo the three categories, you can click the "Show more..." button at the bottom of the category.

Once you find a palette you like, click on it to change the colors across the editor. We suggest clicking on "Override colors" and writing down your current color palette values (which look like "#020202" or "#172A2A") before selecting a new one, in case you want to revert back to your original color scheme.

If you would like to make changes to the palette, then you can do so after choosing a palette by clicking on the "Override colors" button beneath your current palette, and then clicking on a given color to adjust it.

Once you're happy with the new color choice, click the "Publish" button in the top-right corner of the editor to push your changes to your live website.
