These instructions are for users with advanced knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS code only.
Editing HTML and JavaScript code can cause errors and customizing section code may keep your website from updating to new versions in the future.
If you make any unwanted changes, you can restore your site to a previous version by following these instructions.
Every section includes some empty space at the top and bottom to avoid overcrowding your content.
You can adjust the default spacing on a site-wide level or the padding for an individual section layout.
If you'd like to reduce the empty space for every section on your site, we recommend adjusting your sitewide theme settings.
Editing section padding
1. Enable expert mode.
2. Go to > Website
, then select the page and section you would like to access. Pages
3. Scroll to Layout, then click customize it manually.

4. In the layout tree, click the first row (for example, Row 1).

5. Change the Top Padding drop-down from large (default) to small or none.
Tip: If the layout has only one row, you can also adjust the Bottom Padding from here. If the Bottom Padding is already set to none, proceed to the next step.
6. To adjust the padding at the bottom of the section, if the layout has more than one row, click Customize layout to return to the layout tree.
7. Click the last row in the layout tree. (Example: Row 4).

8. Change the Bottom Padding drop-down from large (default) to small or none.

Tip: You can also adjust the default padding for your sections from the customized theme area ( > Website
> Style
Customize theme).
